Practice Solutions

Traditional medical and dental practices want to maintain their practice style and individuality. At the same time, the demands of running a practice have changed. Advanced business knowledge is essential to provide superior service and achieve high performance.

KLM Practice Solutions can help you become a top performing practice without compromising your practice philosophy. We provide objective, data-driven direction and get everyone in the practice working toward the same goals. Patients will receive the best in service, staff will be proud of where they work, and physicians will feel an incredible sense of accomplishment.  And, we do it all with a positive spirit — our goal is to engage your team and give them a boost, as well as providing the objective, data-driven analysis that can help you optimize your practice.

  • Debt Collection with TSI

Healthcare providers are recovering less than 9% of every dollar of bad debt borne out of HDHPs. Collecting the debts you’re owed is now more difficult than ever. KLM Practice Solutions is now working with one of the nation's leading services for debt collection.

We are integrated with most EMR/Practice Management platforms.

    Practice Case Study

  • Detailed Practice Assessment

The Detailed Practice Assessment involves analyzing all aspects of the practice’s business operations: billing, scheduling, workflow, financial management, human resources and a basic marketing assessment.

  • Detailed Marketing Assessment

The Detailed Practice Marketing Assessment is a deep examination of the practice’s current marketing, competitive positioning, threats and opportunities, along with recommendations for how to market two-three years out.Besides these standard assessments, we frequently do detailed analyses of practice operations in one specific area, especially for larger practices.  Areas commonly analyzed include scheduling, workflow, patient service, staffing and compensation, and billing, coding and collections.

  • Patient Advocacy Services

Health and Dental Insurers are constantly updating their claims policy and coverage. Their systems and claims processors don't always keep up with the changes. We work with your patients to maximize their insurance reimbursement by analysizing their coverage documents and helping them to write appeal letters for services that should have been covered but have been denied.

  • Turn-Key Membership Program

If you have a private medical practice or urgent care center and you are looking to improve your cash flow, we have a proven turn-key program for you. Contact me to learn more.
  • Practice Survey

We are currently conducting a survey of medical practices to better understand trends in Direct Pay programs. Results will be shared with all participating practices. To take the survey, click on this Survey Link.

Debt Collection Case Example:

Recently, we worked with a small dental practice to implement TSI's Cost Recovery program. The practice has submitted 21 accounts so far, and in less than 3 weeks time, 7 of those accounts have paid in full and TSI recovered $2185 for the practice yielding a 517% ROI.

Patient Advocacy Case Example:

A patient's tooth which was supporting a bridge was in need of a root canal. After the root canal, the tooth was no longer strong enough to support the bridge. The dentist's recommendation was to do a dental implant to replace the missing tooth instead of a new bridge. Many insurance plans do not cover implants, but the trend is to cover up to the amount of a lower cost alternative. The dentist billing manager advised the patient that the implant and crown would likely not be covered. As the billing manager suspected, the claim was filed and denied. The patient was deemed responsible for the full $4000 cost.

Our Solution:

We analyzed the patient's benefits and discovered that dental implants were not an excluded item. We worked with the practice and the patient to appeal the claim denial based on the practices letter supporting the recommendation of an implant versus a bridge.

Results:

- The patient saved $1598.

- The practice got paid faster

- The practice was a hero to their patient by going to bat for them.
